INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHIP TIMING 1. Welcome to chip timing! Pick up your chip at packet pickup and get it confirmed by race personnel. The chip number should match the bib number. For this transitional year, also wear your bib number clearly on the front of your Finish Line apparel. Full description available at www.perfect-timing.org. 2. Please accept a chip ONLY if you plan to participate in the race! Use the chip assigned to you – be careful not to mix it up with family or friends. The chip contains data specific to you only. 3. Simply put the chip on either shoe with the cable tie. Use diagonal holes to place it horizontally on top on the shoe laces (see picture). Pull the zip tie snug until it locks. 4. Make sure you step on the Start and Finish Line mats with your chipped foot. 5. Move to the end of the Finish chute and return the chip to race volunteers. If you inadvertently keep the chip, please return it to the race officials or send it to the address below. 6. People with unreturned chips will be charged a $30 replacement fee. Note: Race is not responsible for accurate times of persons who attach incorrect chip or lose their chip. No chip on your shoe, no time recorded for you. (Your name will not appear in the fini results booklet.)
